Garden By the River Community Plots - Garden Plot 3 X 12 The Garden by the River project was started by a dedicated group of volunteers in 2019. With grant money from the Last Green Valley and Eastern Connecticut Association for Realtors and funds from the Economic Development Commission, the site was prepared by John Lenky and the beds made by students from Tourtellotte Memorial High School. For the 2020 season the garden was planted and maintained by volunteers with the produce going to the TEEG food pantry. For 2023, Thompson residents can register for a plot of their own. Erin Spillane-Darcy is a Certified Chair Yoga Instructor. She has been practicing yoga for over 15 years and has been teaching Chair Yoga for over 2 years.
Chair Yoga is a gentle form of yoga that’s done while seated or using the chair for balance. It is perfect for all ages , and is a great way to relax from head to toe without the stress of leaving your chair. Garden By the River Community Plots - Garden Plot 3 X 12 The Garden by the River project was started by a dedicated group of volunteers in 2019. With grant money from the Last Green Valley and Eastern Connecticut Association for Realtors and funds from the Economic Development Commission, the site was prepared by John Lenky and the beds made by students from Tourtellotte Memorial High School. Purely Recreation Before and After School Program - After School, Part-Time (3 days/week) *PURELY REC WILL BEGIN ON 8/30. There is NO Monthly charge for 8/30 or 8/31*Recreation and more! We mix a little learning with a lot of fun activities. The curriculum includes outside play, science fun, arts and crafts, and special events. We offer both a before school program and a after school program. Students are grouped based on age into small groups. A staff trained in CPR/First Aid is always present. Space is limited.
Payment is made by monthly sessions. You may choose 3 or 5 days per week. If you choose 3 days/week option you may select whichever days work best for your schedule.These days may be different week to week but must be selected at the beginning of the monthly session. Erin Spillane-Darcy is a Certified Chair Yoga Instructor. She has been practicing yoga for over 15 years and has been teaching Chair Yoga for over 2 years.
Chair Yoga is a gentle form of yoga that’s done while seated or using the chair for balance. It is perfect for all ages , and is a great way to relax from head to toe without the stress of leaving your chair. Erin Spillane-Darcy is a Certified Chair Yoga Instructor. She has been practicing yoga for over 15 years and has been teaching Chair Yoga for over 2 years.
Chair Yoga is a gentle form of yoga that’s done while seated or using the chair for balance. It is perfect for all ages , and is a great way to relax from head to toe without the stress of leaving your chair. Thursday Nights at Riverside Park beginning May 16th!The Thompson Pickleball League is a 6-week, round-robin style format in which teams of 4 (2 men and 2 women) compete in matches against other teams each week. A match consists of 4 games, which is comprised of one women’s doubles game, one men’s doubles game, and two mixed doubles game. This team approach allows for fun and excitement with a great social aspect to the game. Register as an individual or with your own team!- Spring League starts May 16 & ends June 20- Summer League starts July 11 & ends August 15- Matches are played each Thursday between 4-6 pm (players rated 2.0-3.49) and 6-8 pm (players rated 3.50+)- Matches are played at the outdoor Pickleball courts at Riverside Park- Each match is 1 Game to 15 win by 2, with side-out scoring at 13.USAPA rulesTechnology is used to report games and keep track of league standingsMedals are awarded to the top three teams$35 entry fee ($50 for non-Thompson residents). 100% of the fee will go to Thompson Pickleball operations and court improvements

With grant money from the Last Green Valley and Eastern Connecticut Association for Realtors and funds from the Economic Development Commission, the site was prepared by John Lenky and the beds made by students from Tourtellotte Memorial High School. For the 2020 season the garden was planted and maintained by volunteers with the produce going to the TEEG food pantry. For 2023, Thompson residents can register for a plot of their own. There is NO Monthly charge for 8/30 or 8/31*Recreation and more! We mix a little learning with a lot of fun activities. The curriculum includes outside play, science fun, arts and crafts, and special events. We offer both a before school program and a after school program. Students are grouped based on age into small groups. A staff trained in CPR/First Aid is always present. Space is limited.
Payment is made by monthly sessions. You may choose 3 or 5 days per week. If you choose 3 days/week option you may select whichever days work best for your schedule.These days may be different week to week but must be selected at the beginning of the monthly session. New registrations will be accepted on a rolling basis if space is available. Monthly rate will be prorated for days missed.
